Chartered on August 27, 1961, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 24 serves their contractors, their contractor’s customers and the electrical industry throughout the entire Baltimore Metropolitan Area and Maryland’s Eastern Shore region by providing them with the services of inside electricians, maintenance electricians, sign workers, test technicians and voice-data-video technicians.
Local 24 is proud to represent the region’s most highly-skilled journeymen and apprentices, who receive the best training available anywhere.
Signatory contractors of Local 24 employ the area’s most highly qualified electricians and technicians, who can work on any job – no matter the size or scope. Through specialized training, these tradesmen and tradeswomen provide project owners with both high quality work unmatched by the competition and sustainable value that will continue to provide a Return on Investment (ROI) for years after the project is finished.
Their headquarters are located in Baltimore. There is also a satellite office in Frederick, and another in Salisbury to handle business from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge all the way to the eastern shore of Virginia.
